Why Use a Travel Agent?

I hear this all the time, in the age of the Internet, and the ability of all of us to just jump on line and Google whatever we need, 24 hours  a day.

Well, there are some very good reasons to use a travel agent. Especially a travel agent like the ones who work for me, at Becky Lamb Travel. (But more about why my people are so special later…)

As a travel agent, I spend my whole day immersed in the travel industry. I try to stay on top of the new hotel openings around the world, packages that are offered that give clients significant savings, rules and regulations of the government that affect the traveler that change constantly. But additionally, and probably more importantly, a good travel agent always goes one step further. A good travel agent tries to think like their client, asks the right questions to place a client at the right hotel or on the right cruise ship, recommends restaurants that the client would enjoy in the locale, has ideas for side excursions and recommendations for local guides and activities.

When you think about the choice of spending a lot of time on the computer, researching destinations, hotels, flights, and then not even being sure that you are going to like what you end up with….

Wouldn’t it be so much easier to establish an on-going relationship with someone who will know you, know your likes and dislikes, and will be able to make vacation suggestions that are right on target?

Someone who will really try to match your travel budget with the best possible experience you can have?

That’s a good travel agent. That’s the people that work at Becky Lamb Travel.
